The JCB Skills Academy began the week with a packed schedule of training delivery, partnership meetings and employability activity focused on supporting communities and creating opportunities across North Wales.
The morning saw Cohort 1 of The King’s Trust begin the “Get into Construction” programme, while another graduate from the North East Wales Skills Academy (NEWSA) programme started employment with Net World Sports.
Alongside programme delivery, discussions also took place with representatives from HM Prison and Probation Service regarding future collaboration opportunities linked to employability and rehabilitation support.
Further partnership meetings brought together organisations including Barclays, Communities for Work Plus and local stakeholders to explore collaborative opportunities across Wrexham Industrial Estate and identify new ways of supporting community projects and workforce development initiatives.
The continued collaboration between employers, training providers, community organisations and support services reflects the growing momentum behind skills and employability initiatives across the region.
Special thanks were also given to Gareth Davies, Craig White, Alison Hourihane and Aaron Jones for their support.
