A warehousing skills project delivered in partnership with Caia Park Partnership Ltd is helping learners develop new skills and progress towards employment opportunities within the logistics and warehousing sector.
As part of the initiative, learners at the JCB Skills Academy recently welcomed Darren Gallop, Learning & Development Manager at The Very Group, who spoke to the group about his own career journey and the opportunities available within the warehousing industry.
What made the visit particularly meaningful was Darren’s connection to the local community, having grown up in Caia Park himself. His willingness to return and support members of his own community provided an inspiring example of what can be achieved through determination, skills development and opportunity.
The project highlights the important role employers can play in supporting community initiatives and helping individuals move closer towards sustainable employment.
