The growing demand for mental health support and awareness was highlighted this week after a North East Wales Skills Academy (NEWSA) Mental Health Awareness session attracted almost double the expected number of attendees.

While organisers would normally expect around 15 or 16 learners to attend the session, more than 30 people took part, with the event proving so popular that additional chairs were needed at the JCB Skills Academy.

The strong turnout reflects the increasing importance of open conversations around mental health, wellbeing and emotional resilience within communities, education and the workplace.

Special thanks were given to Sean Liddell and the wider delivery team for their continued work supporting learners and helping to create safe, supportive environments where important discussions can take place.
