Representatives from Gatewen Training Services recently returned to Ysgol Y Grango alongside former pupil Craig Weeks to speak with Year 9 learners about future career opportunities and vocational pathways.
The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen links between employers and local schools, helping young people gain a better understanding of the opportunities available to them within industry and the wider workforce.
Earlier this year, a group of Year 11 pupils from the school also visited the JCB Skills Academy as part of a new vocational skills initiative. During the visit, learners had the opportunity to use Tenstar Simulation AB driving simulators and tour the JCB Wrexham site, giving them valuable insight into engineering, logistics and manufacturing careers.
The initiative highlights the growing importance of employers investing in the next generation through meaningful engagement with schools, practical learning experiences and careers education.
Special thanks were also given to NPORS for their continued support with the programme.
