Téa’s journey is another powerful example of how training and partnership working can help transform lives and open doors to new career opportunities.

Previously working in a local café, Téa had always aspired to pursue a career in engineering. A few months ago, she was signposted to the North East Wales Skills Academy to complete an FLT training programme.

After successfully passing her FLT test, Téa has now secured a full-time role at the new JCB Wrexham Power Products Plant.

Her success story highlights the important role vocational training, employability support and collaboration between organisations can play in helping individuals access meaningful employment and long-term career pathways.

Special thanks were also given to Ian Rowley from the Wrexham University Enterprise and Innovation team for their support in helping create opportunities for local people.
