The JCB Skills Academy recently welcomed partners from across North Wales for both the regional Communities for Work Plus meeting and the monthly Wrexham Employability Projects meeting.

The sessions brought together local authorities, training providers, employability organisations and community partners to discuss collaboration, future skills needs and opportunities to support individuals into employment across the region.

Communities for Work Plus provides specialist employment advice, guidance and intensive mentoring support to people seeking work, helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and access training and career opportunities.

Organisations represented at the meeting included Gatewen Training Services, Wrexham County Borough Council, Flintshire County Council, Denbighshire County Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Cyngor Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey County Council, Wrexham Leadership Alliance, Careers Wales, Groundwork North Wales, Caia Park Partnership Ltd, Department for Work and Pensions, WeMindTheGap and Tenstar Simulation AB among others.

The event highlighted the continued importance of partnership working in supporting employability, strengthening communities and helping people across North Wales access meaningful opportunities.
